Every women is different and it also applies for menstruation.
And many factors can affect our period. Estrogen and progesterone can disrupt the normal pattern of your period. Some other causes include:
- Using hormonal or non-hormonal IUD
- Changing the brand of contraceptive pills.
- Too much exercise
- Overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) or underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism)
- Thickening of or polyps on the uterine lining
- Uterine fibroids
